Based in central London and entering their 6th year of business this is a rapidly growing eCommerce company providing decision-intelligent insight to trading through the web for clients such as Asda, Clarins, House of Fraser, Jimmy Choo and many more.
This is a paid internship. Salary: £1,000 per month.
How you can expect to spend your day:

This internship is based between the European Sales and Marketing teams as an inside sales associate working with both functions to understand how the company communicates with its target audience followed by identifying suitable new business opportunities for the sales team to develop.

The objective of the role is to generate qualified sales leads and involves desk research, email and telephone outreach to prospects. The role may require providing support to the business development team with appointment setting or preparation of prospect presentations.

This includes:
1.Contact research: Conduct online research to help fill the gaps in our client’s prospect database. Enter new contacts into our client’s CRM Salesforce.com.
2.Account profiling: Conduct online and telephone research to create a full picture of target accounts and to enable segmentation and qualification. Example data points include ownership structure and online turnover.
3.Lead generation: Work with sales/marketing to develop call scripts. Call into target accounts to present our client and its products, book sales appointments, secure attendance at our client’s events and assess potential sales opportunities.
4.Sales engagement support: Work with the business development team to provide support in completing RFPs, sales proposals and presentations.

The ideal intern’s personality and qualifications:

Requisite skills and experience:
•A recent graduate, ideally with experience in either sales or customer service positions or at least an interest in developing a career in business development
•Fast learner with interest in eCommerce and/or technology
•Excellent communications skills with natural ability to engage conversation
•Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational skills
•Motivated with ability work independently and prioritise own workload
•Proactive, identifying ways to improve processes and recommend them

Additional:
•Fluency in a 2nd European language would be an advantage but not a perquisite, ideally in French, German, Spanish or Italian.
