The School

The school prides itself on having an inclusive environment where children of all backgrounds and abilities experience success. Academic achievement is a priority and the staff work hard to provide opportunities to support all children to achieve their potential, both within and outside of the classroom. The school aims to provide a happy, safe, secure and caring environment. They work hard to provide a curriculum that encourages all to reach their full potential and outside of the school day the children are encouraged to join in the extra curricular activities.

The Job

Within the large Foundation section of this school, you will work with approximately 80 part-time nursery pupils and 90 reception pupils.
The school's Foundation Department focus on a 'learn through play' teaching style, incorporating Art, Drama, outdoor playtime and gardening. You will be responsible for teaching small groups in short, frequent sessions throughout each day.
In this role, you will need to be highly motivated, energetic and committed to working in partnership with children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community. You should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and inspire the children. You will need to be able to work well in a team and be supportive of your colleagues. There should be a strong commitment to continuous improvement and raising standards of attainment.
