£45k to £65k + Benefits + Bonus

Global Electronic Trading Brokerage in Docklands seeking Senior Web Application Developer (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) to build a greenfield web based broking platform for the front office traders and client users to replace the legacy desk top application.

As the Senior Web Application Developer (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) you will be the lead web developer building a whole new Greenfield application that has many layers and end user interaction. For pricing, broking, order placing and client communication features, it's a very large project. The back end is in C++, which you will be an evangelist of the latest versions of web technologies to influence the flat structured team.

Key requirements;

  • Commercial experience of building a Web Application/GUI (Essential)
  • Experience of modern web technologies; HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript libraries (Essential)
  • Additional experience of C++ is beneficial however must be willing to learn basics (Required)
  • Agile and TDD experience (Beneficial)
  • Good communication and team work skills (Required)

The project is vast with many challenges both from improving on a legacy application using new technologies and with the changing market place to add in social media style features.
