The School/The Child
Shafton is an average-sized primary school. Almost all pupils are of White British heritage. A much higher proportion of the pupils are girls, although the number of girls in each year group varies considerably. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for free school meals has reduced and is below the national average. The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities are in line with the national average, as is the proportion of pupils with a statement of special educational needs. The school has gained a number of awards, including Healthy School status, the Activemark, Sportsmark and the Royal Horticultural Society Campaign for School Gardening Award. The school was last inspected in October 2010, when it was given a ?notice to improve? because it was deemed to require significant improvement.
In reward of your hard work and commitment we provide competitive rates of pay, access to Randstad Educations online CPD portfolio and dedicated consultants with a 24 hour on call facility.
