The client
The Green Recruitment Company are currently working alongside a leading Energy Company with an international presence who are currently looking for an Energy Manager (Monitoring and Targeting) to join their growing Energy Performance Contracting team.

The role
The M&T Energy Manager will provide proactive monitoring and targeting of customer energy consumption, identifying required actions to achieve energy savings targets, agreeing these with customers and then implementing where possible
Candidate Accountabilities
The Energy Manager will be responsible for the following;
• Review and benchmark energy consumption data, establishing consumption targets
• Provide analysis and insight against targets, proactively monitoring and identifying trends and exceptions, producing customer-facing and internal reports
• Understand the energy improvement measures implemented and identify actions required in response to improve the use of energy to achieve targets
• React to exceptions to identify root causes of underperformance, quantifying potential impact of underperformance against savings guarantees and profit, and identify improvement opportunities, liaising with customers as necessary
• Oversee the implementation of on-site remedial works to address underperformance of energy improvement measures
• Effectively engage with third party bureau services/data providers to ensure correct data is received at the correct time
• Provide vital feedback on the performance of installed improvement measures to enable the continual refinement of offerings
• Collect data and provide data in support of case studies and business development activities to increase business credibility

Candidate requirements

Knowledge and Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an energy management role
• Qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering
Essential Skills
• Extensive knowledge of key energy saving techniques and technologies
• Highly competent in energy benchmarking techniques, baseline calculation, target setting and statistical analysis
• Experience of using and implementing M&T software solutions
• Excellent understanding of building management control systems and energy metering and monitoring, experience in operating and implementing changes to various building energy management systems as a minimum
• Ability to develop and build business cases to secure energy efficiency projects
• Knowledge of energy taxation, regulation and initiatives including CCL, CRC, FIT, EU ETS
• Project management experience
• Understanding of complex contract deliverables
