The School

This is one of the oldest secondary school in Staffordshire, the schools buildings have increased over the last half century to accommodate the increase in intake of pupils and growing facilities. The school has recently received various awards, the most recent being 'The National Church Schools' Award and 'The Commitment to ICT' Award. The school is an accredited fair trade establishment, holds Bronze Eco Status and has become a recognised Healthy School this year.

The Child

This smaller than average school serves an area of significant economic and social disadvantage and has a diverse range of students who are from local communities. The students demonstrate high levels of respect for teaching staff and consistently achieve well in their studies, and attainment in both academic and vocational subjects is increasing.

The Job

  • The post will be teaching KS3 and KS4 Science and will have intervention work in the timetable
  • Experience of teaching GCSE and A-Level is advantageous
  • Only applications from Qualified Teachers will be accepted
  • This is a full time position to start in February 2014 to last for the rest of the school year.
