Randstad Education in Birmingham are currently recruiting for an English Teacher who would be interested in working with young males aged 14-16 who are disengaged from education or do not have a school place. During the role you will support the pupils to achieve GCSEs and Functional Skills. The number of hours and pay are negotiable depending on experience.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Develop curriculum based on the specific needs of each pupil
- Record and monitor the progress of pupils
- Ability to design lessons, schemes of work and timetables
- Deliver and evaluate sessions
- Complete paperwork
- Engage vulnerable young people with behaviour problems
- Inspire young people
- Liaise with social services and other agencies
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills

Person requirements:
- Good standard of English and Maths
- Good organisational ability
- Ability to work with young people who have been previously disengaged from education
- A desire to enter into the education sector
- Can be a position for both more experienced and newly qualified teachers
