An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bid Pricing Analyst to join a central London based Electronics and Technology business, a leader in Cloud-based technologies, Big Data and Mobility.
This B2B Bid Pricing Analyst role will involve responding to large tenders for B2B Global Major Accounts (both core and new business sectors) and producing associated price modelling and analysis, with an aim of maximising group profitability.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
* Actively analysing and critically reviewing all pricing elements included in global bid pricing, including developing detailed financial analysis of key deals, maintaining and developing "up-front" and P&L overviews on all key customers to monitor profitability forecasts
* Developing pricing strategies for Global Managed Account business (both core and new business areas) in consultation with Global Account Managers, Subject Matter Experts and Senior Management to maximise profitability and improve the chance of winning the bid/tender * Being a key contact to pricing stakeholders such as Senior Management Global Account Managers and the regional Operating Companies
*Determining, developing and implementing standard and bespoke pricing models in line with (frequently) changing customer needs
* Utilising Excel extensively when producing all pricing for global bids and tenders - you must be at Advanced Excel (macros level - VBA is advantageous) as our client does not use automated pricing tools for global bespoke deals
The successful Bid Pricing Analyst will have strong commercial acumen, knowledge of financial terminology, as well as proven B2B Pricing experience (IT / Hardware /Manufacturing environments preferred).
This successful candidate will be degree educated and have Advanced Excel skills, including ability to construct accurate bespoke complex financial modelling - Access/VBA level is preferred, but you should at least be able to edit and manipulate existing macros. Communication skills are essential in this role as you must be able to present yourself as a credible pricing expert to senior stakeholders within the organisation, as well as to high level external customers.
