Digital Photography Teacher required for a long term position in North Manchester
This small Catholic community school in north Manchester provides learning opportunities to Catholic families of Crumpsall, Blackley and Moston areas. Achieving 55% A*-C in GCSEs including Maths and English this school is improving and achieved good in an Ofsted inspection in July 2013.
The cohort of this school come from an area of social deprivation and the school works to provide a nurturing safe environment where all students can participate in school life. The school has strong links with sport organisatiions such as Sports City and provide students the opportunity to take park in a range of sports activities outside of school.
Due to a Maternity leave the school require a teacher of Art and Design or Technology able to teach Digital Photography to key stage 3 and 4 students. The small department consists of two art teachers, one a fine art and ceramics specialist who is unfamiliar with the digital photography equipment and syllabus. Interested candidate must be able to provide a portfolio of digital photography at interview of their own work and if possible student's work.
All applicants ideally must have completed a PGCE Secondary qualification or Bachelor of Education providing Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Applications from FE qualified instructors will not be considered if you have experience of teaching Digital Photography to teenagers.
NQTs will be supported in their induction.
Salary range: £475-£700 per week (pre 12 week agency worker regulations, dependent on references and experience)
