How can you expect to spend your day?

The marketing intern will report directly to the Marketing Manager gaining experience in developing, planning and executing all marketing, PR, sales and promotional strategies to ensure the overall objective of customer growth is achieved. The day-to-day aspects of the role will be split into two categories…
Learning how to ensure customer growth:
•Help to develop, recommend and implement creative marketing and PR strategies for the company to ensure business growth in both retail and digital channels.
•Experience preparing and updating marketing calendars to ensure consistency with the brand’s strategic direction.
•Learning how to ensure that brand equity is properly maintained across all channels in terms of image and style.
•Experience liaising with retail partners on all above and below the line media.
•Establishing and ensure a strong platform for CRM programs
Learning how to manage operational effectiveness:
•Learning how to maintain and keep track of all expenses for marketing activities to ensure cost effectiveness.
•Experience creating and managing both printed and electronically created marketing collateral.
•An insight into the preparation of annual store business review presentation and new product information decks.
•Overseeing all promotional images to ensure its production and content meet the brand’s expectations.
•Ensure clarity and uniformity of all forms of communication to consumers.

The ideal intern’s personality and qualifications:

•This role will suit a recent graduate interested in marketing, fashion and beauty products. Though not a pre-requisite the ideal graduate would have a marketing related degree or similar such as media communications, however previous work experience will be just as important to show an interest and passion for these areas.
•Work experience in marketing or with skincare products would be a huge bonus.
•Due to the nature of the role, excellent written and spoken communication skills are vital in order to produce engaging content and are interpersonal skills in order to work in a tightknit team and to liaise with media partners and retailers.
•The tracking of each marketing campaign is vital too and so any previous familiarity using MS Excel would be a bonus.

The perks of interning at this company:

The last person in this position has now progressed on to be a senior member of the team!
