A revolutionary specialist in Database Performance seeking a Python Developer (Django, TDD, Agile) to join the move towards open source and cloud based applications that are used for server optimisation mainly in Financial Services but also for large scale ecommerce companies.

As the Python Developer (Django, TDD, Agile) you will join a small, fast pace, creative Agile team of developers that run a number of projects concurrently. You will be working with and trying out the latest versions of open source technology to come up with innovative solutions to client problems.

One of the main projects is to design and build a highly scalable python application, getting involved in this environment means you will pick up a lot of skills on the architectural side of development. It's a role where you will be encouraged to improve your knowledge on Big Data analytics, Cloud technologies, the connectivity and also many interfacing technologies.

Key requirements;

  • Degree level education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Maths, Physics or similar discipline (Essential)
  • Passion for technology, interest and contributor to open source technologies (Highly Beneficial)
  • Keen problem solver with strong analytical skills and enthusiasm to learn (Essential)
  • Any experience in Python development (Beneficial)
  • Any experience with the following; SNMP, Greenlets, Greenthreads, Apache, Reddis, MongoDB (Beneficial)
  • Previous experience or familiarity with TDD & AGILE working methodologies (Highly Beneficial)
  • Graduates with no commercial experience will be considered
  • Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineer (Highly Desirable)

This role will ideally suit the technologist that thrives on variation of challenges wanting to improve experience technically across many layers of technology, from server side to cloud to user interface and also the business experience through understanding the client requirements. You will work with highly motivated people wanting to share an idea, which is an environment that allows for growth, ownership and improving influence.
