This company is a busy start-up, based in London, preparing for the launch of their first wellness products.
  This is a three month paid research assistant internship. Salary: £1,000 per month.

How you can expect to spend your day:

We are currently looking for a Research Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic team for three months. You will carry out all aspects of our research including contributing to research protocols, recruitment, fieldwork and data analysis.

This primary focus of our research will be to test our prototypes on women and we need someone who is great with people and can build relationships with people quickly to undertake the testing. Your role will play a critical part in our client's product development as it not only ensures the final product is user-centered designed but also its reliability and durability. Areas you will gain an insight into include:

•Test subject recruitment: Oversee recruitment of 100 plus women and provide clear communication with subjects.
•Test design & planning: Contribute to design of protocols and liaise with academic partners over design.
•User testing: Ensure protocols are adhered to during testing and make sure research fieldwork is ethical and data collected valid and reliable.
•Data analysis: After each test session, you will need to process the data and design the best way to present, analyse and interpret a large amount of data and graphs.
•Ad-hoc research: Undertake secondary research (literature reviews) to understand consumer behavior and attitudes to personal wellness.
•AOB: Help write communication materials for the website and provide some coordination support as required.

The ideal intern’s personality and qualifications:

•Preferably MSc but you could be a student in the process of completing it, with experience in scientific research with people.
•Experience in undertaking research with human subjects would be desirable.
•Strongly numerate and analytical with moderate level of statistics knowledge.
•Good communication skills: both speaking & writing.
•Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
•Someone who loves research and working with people.
•Confident with a good sense of humor.
•Someone who is professional and mature with good customer service skills.
