This company is a London-based new ventures firm focusing on developing new technology start-ups with previous success in mobile applications and mobile payment solutions.
This is a paid internship. Salary: £1,000 per month.
How can you expect to spend your day?

The hiring company are in conception stage of a new technology venture and are looking for a recent graduate to join a small team on the running, strategy and building of a Venture Capital grade business plan. Initially the role is to develop a new venture business plan and follow this from point of inception to the launch to market, as such this will be a great learning experience on how to prepare and launch a new business idea.

The types of activity involved with developing such a plan will include:
•Collecting, analysing and interpreting data and statistics.
•Performing competitor analysis.
•Developing a logical business plan.
•Market analysis.
•Research and define the target market.
•Develop a marketing plan to reach the target market.
•Aid the business development and sales strategy.
•Compiling and presenting information verbally, visually and on slides.
•Identifying and assessing the pros and cons of possible strategies.

Other responsibilities include:
•Convert initial idea into a workable draft discussion paper through online research and applying own common sense.
•Travelling with the manager to take notes at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations.
•Screening enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate priority.
•Dealing with incoming email and corresponding on behalf of the manager.
•Taking verbal instruction to convert into document (draft) and minutes.
•Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations.
•Organising and attending meetings and ensuring the manager is well prepared for meetings.
•Preparing knowledge repository.
•Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff.

The ideal intern’s personality and qualifications:

This internship suits a recent graduate looking to gain commercial experience in a technical start-up environment, learning from a small team with a successful track record in building tech based companies. There are no specific degree types sought for this role though science based degrees or an interest in technology would be a big plus. The team will coach, guide, mentor and provide full support to the candidate who should possess:
•Good strategy and planning skills.
•I.T. literate in terms of using Microsoft packages.
•Strong communication skills.
•A positive attitude to work and life.
•An interest in technology innovation.
