Randstad education require a full time Year 1 teacher for a role in a local Hull primary school. This fantastic opportunity is due to start after Easter and will be a permanent post.
We are looking for a Qualified Primary School Teacher who has:
* Qualified Teaching Status
* Proven experience in teaching at primary level with an understanding and good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
* Drive, enthusiasm, passionate about education, and a sense of humour.
* Dedication to maintaining and continuing to improve school's standards with high expectations of pupils attainment.
* Ability to adapt teaching to different abilities due to the split year group and ability to understand the needs of pupils where English is an additional language.
* A strength in ICT would be advantageous.
The school are looking for an enthusiastic, practising Catholic or someone who is sympathetic to the aims and ethos of a Catholic school.

This welcoming and friendly inner city, smaller than average size school is based in Hull. The majority of pupils are from minority ethnic groups and a high proportion of pupils speak English as an additional language. Pupils supported through school action, school action plus or pupils with a statement of special education needs is below average as is the proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium.
This school is focusing on raising standards in teaching and learning, and also concentrating on raising standards in literacy. The school are on target with these aims and continuing to make progress. CPD and further development is encouraged and supported for all staff. In this 1 form entry school there are 2 year groups per class, these groups are not paired up by ability so teachers are required to be able to differentiate work for the pupils. The pupils are from different catchments and thus the community within the school is very diverse, the school takes pride in this and aim for an inclusive environment where each others faiths, values and cultures are understood. The school has close links with the parish and pupils attend mass regularly, the Catholic faith is at the heart of their ethos and values. Pupils are well behaved, enthusiastic and motivated to learn, and reward schemes are in place to encourage good behaviour.
