Harrington Starr are currently working on an exciting engagement with an Energy Trading client who have a name synonymous with the market in which they operate in, to identify a Trayport Application Support Analyst to join their Trading support team where you will have responsibility for the development and integration of software applications, application support analysis and web administration.

In this role your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support and maintenance of applications and associated interfaces
  • Plan, install, configure and test minor application upgrades, patches and fixes
  • Ensure the availability and performance of applications to agreed SLAs
  • Delivery of 24 * 7 applications support services
  • Proactive management of applications to improve monitoring and performance whilst reducing exceptions, faults and failures
  • Implement new software and upgrades to the existing applications portfolio
  • Work in partnership with other department as required ensuring correct exchange of knowledge and successful transition of developments into production
  • Work with project and development teams to investigate complex issues, identify and implement solutions to re-occurring problems
  • Update application documentation and provide expert knowledge sharing
  • Perform application operational acceptance testing
  • Support project implementations and handover to production
  • Contribute to the delivery of organisational and team KPIs
  • Follow agreed processes and procedures in the day to day execution of duties

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) experience.
  • You must have experience of Trayport
  • Demonstrable knowledge of financial instruments and markets
  • experience of working in a high transaction enterprise environment
  • Track records of applications support in the financial services or energy sectors
  • Experience of Windows platforms including configuration
  • Good understanding of SQL Server database management systems
