This is a paid internship. Salary: £NMW.
This is a fantastic chance for a marketing/business graduate to gain essential work experience at an established and well-known company. You will gain an insight into the day-to-day running and duties of a busy events marketing team whilst developing your own direct and database marketing skills.
How can you expect to spend your day?
•You will learn how to upload conference information onto the website using an in-house Content Management System.
•You will learn to construct and send email campaigns including targeting data.
•How to manage data lists which includes; data research and acquisition, refreshing key data lists, completing data sets – e.g. researching email addresses/telephone numbers and collecting regional data.
•You will learn how to use Google and email analytics to analyse click-through-rates on email campaigns.
•How to build reports.
•Shadowing and learning from the marketing team who will provide you will full training.
The ideal intern’s personality and qualifications:
•You will ideally have a marketing or business degree.
•You will have an interest in marketing.
•Excellent IT skills including high level of competence with Microsoft Office products (Excel in particular).
•Keen interest in research, data handling and analysis.
•Public sector knowledge would be a bonus.
•Good planning and organisational skills.
•You will have good communication skills
•You will be accurate and meticulous.
