How you can expect to spend your day:
This role will involve more than just sales; you will end up going to meetings, exhibiting in conferences, writing proposals and being involved in many different areas of the business. This role has exceptional growth capacity!
Initially the client will train and teach the candidate about their product line, their industry, and their technology. You will then be expected to make cold calls and generate leads through research and networking on sites such as LinkedIn. The role will begin to change as you start to generate leads and interest. This will lead to the intern coming out on meetings, and starting to build relationships with prospective clients. With guidance, the intern will be expected to manage the entire life cycle of a prospective client, from interest to sign up. The lead-time of a client signing can sometimes take up to 6 months, which is why this role is more than just sales, and is truly a business development role.

* The ideal intern will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* You are forward thinking and creative!
* You aren't scared to pick up the phone and you want to network and build relationships.
* The perfect intern will be a motivated, hard-working quick learner!
* You will need to have some knowledge of marketing and business, as well as be willing to learn about an industry you have little or no previous knowledge of.
* You must be adaptable and ready to multitask!
* There are no particular qualifications that the ideal candidate will need to have.
