Major, successful and highly profitable hotel group seeks a Sales and Marketing Coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES AS SALES AND MARKETING COORDINATOR:

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the planning and execution of client visits by serving as the key liaison between the hotel and local sales team; and also works closely with the marketing manager in implementation of the hotel’s marketing strategy by assisting with writing content, social media updates, website maintenance, photography and video shoots, special event management, advertising and collateral design and production, and public relations activities.

Sales Responsibilities:

• Responsible for organisation and preparation of all client site visits. Develop strong rapport with Sales Managers and sales site coordinator to maintain seamless communication between the sales office and our operations team
• Take ownership of site visits by developing and executing a site process, bringing creative ideas to fruition, and following up with key players
• Work with sales team to create collateral for special promotions and offers

Marketing Responsibilities:

• Produce and update all Marketing, Sales and promotional collateral (print and digital) using Adobe Creative Suite. Ensure hotel is presented and positioned in a manner consistent with the brand voice and coordinate with key vendors to arrange for and printing and review and approve final proofs.
• Assist with creating content for social media channels: updates, photos, responses, contests, special offerings and enhancements
• Create and take ownership of internal marketing newsletter, updating weekly and sending to associates and management
• Liaise between field marketing and hotel for website updates and participation in select programs to promote the property with leisure, group and business guests
• Communicate and submit updated photos and verbiage to all marketing channels and organisations that assist in promoting the hotel
• Coordinate all departmental billing and other responsibilities as necessary

Below are a list of skills needed to fulfil our expectations and thrive within the department to reach your potential as Sales and Marketing Coordinator:

• College degree with focus in marketing, communications and/or English preferred.
• Two years of marketing and social media experience preferred. Graphic design and layout skills with knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Ability to concept and produce using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and other design programs as needed. Superior writing and editing skills with impeccable attention to detail. Ability to creatively promote the brand through content creation for ads, social media updates and collateral.
• Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and with confidence, to influence and interact effectively with guests, associates, managers and senior leadership. Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in an incredibly fast-paced environment and respond well to pressure without compromising quality of work. Demonstrated ability to continuously improve methods, approaches, and procedures with a commitment to continuous learning. Strong understanding of current marketing concepts and best practices.
• Prior experience in or knowledge of the hospitality industry is preferred.
• All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
• Full UK driving licence
Location within close proximity to offices based in either Hertford or Harlow.
