About the role

This role combines information management leadership and direction across the organisation with the robust delivery of information services and leads the Information Services team, ensuring that they are customer focused, deliver against strategic objectives and have the necessary capability and skills.

Whilst being part ‘technically hands-on’, this post also supports the Director of Programmes, Projects and IS by horizon scanning and providing strategic insight to lead, produce and drive clear strategies for the development of information management systems and services, as well as delivering IS change programmes and projects and delivering a high quality support service.

About you

You will have experience of maintaining a Microsoft 2003 / 2008 and Citrix XenApp 6.5 server infrastructure that is primarily VMware based, ideally within a GSi environment.

You will be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with representatives of user groups and system owners using excellent communication skills in an engaging manner, standing ground when needed, demonstrating excellent people leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to follow.
