A leading Global organisation Jarden Consumer Solutions is seeking to recruit a European HR Director to manage their European Business. This is a newly created role and will be based in London reporting to the President of the European Business.

This is an exciting new opportunity for a HR Director to join an expanding European team.

The European HR Director will guide and manage the overall provisions of the human resources services, policies and programs for the European continent. This includes responsibility for offices in Manchester, London, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and Poland.

Key duties include:
• Being involved in the transformation project of involving re-structuring, change management and a new business model.
• Lead the implementation of human resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
• Review the employee orientation programs in all locations and develop programs which provide a consistent message to all employees regarding the company culture and vision.
• Oversee the Performance Management Programs and Succession Planning programs for each business unit.
• Develop an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement and a high performance environment.

The successful candidate will have:
• Knowledge of European employment laws and regulations : Labour laws in each country, Employment statutes with regards to hiring and terminating employees, Specific requirements with regards to working hours and conditions
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills
• An understanding of compensation and benefit programs for Europe
• A strong understanding of the various cultures across
• To be able to communicate in English with knowledge of French and/or German
• To be able to travel with the UK and Europe at least 30% of the time
