The Organisation:

The Green Recruitment Company are pleased to be acting on behalf of a leading green energy supplier; working to find a new member for their Wholesale Department team which is responsible for the production and trading of energy within all aspects of the value chain.

The Development Team will be responsible for securing the necessary permissions enabling the construction of renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities:

Providing landscape, visual services and expert advice to the Development Team at all stages of this process.
Co-ordinating the landscape work stream and managing / mentoring junior staff;
Completing landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIA) for environmental impact assessments (EIA) and environmental reports (ER);
Managing other aspects of EIAs and ERs to completion;
Providing LVIA input into the selection, design and layout of our renewable energy projects;
To act as the companies expert witness at public inquiries, to include writing proofs of evidence;
Monitoring and checking landscape works on-site to discharge conditions;
Prepare and advise on mitigation measures where necessary;
Lead on consultations with the relevant authorities and statutory consultees in relation to landscape and visual matters;
Making site visits and ensuring photo montages are taken from the correct positions, as pre-agreed with the relevant authority;
Liaising with other consultants and professionals on projects.
Required Skills:

Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) with a minimum of five years post chartership experience would be beneficial;
Minimum two years Wind farm project experience;
Writing experience of Public inquiry and proof of evidence.
Proven experience of writing LVIA chapters for EIAs and ERs;
Experience of carrying out residential visual amenity assessments;
Experience of consultations with statutory consultees and others;
Excellent report writing and research skills;
Ability to work without supervision and prioritise workload;
Experience of managing external consultants and junior staff;
Full driving licence.
