The Client:
The Green Recruitment Company is working with a multi-national energy company who provide low-carbon and energy efficiency products and services. They provide various low carbon technologies to domestic and commercial consumers, ranging from energy surveys to intricate installations of microgeneration equipment.

The Role:
Our client is in need of an experienced member to enhance the Business Development Team by influencing procurement and financial decisions within a framework of short-term performance goals and long-term strategy targets.

Responsibilities:

• Devise and implement sales strategies to meet ambitious growth targets.
• Lead in the structuring of deals ensuring customer and Company requirements.
• Develop a team responsible for the sale of Energy Efficiency Products and Services.
• Create indirect customer channels to include partnership arrangements with consultants, Financial Managers, brokers and other organisations.
• Maintain a database of pipeline opportunities and contract wins, providing regular KPI reports and sales forecasts to the Senior Management Team.
• Capitalise on any commercial opportunities during and after a tender negotiation, acting upon any initiative that arises to secure the contract.
• Establish and build innovative models, not predefined by the business, to meet customer requirements.
• Generate proactive approaches in developing new solutions regarding the specific nature of EPPs, while articulating this to customers.
• Oversee customer insight sessions with the intent of identifying project success criteria.
• Network within the industry including speaking at industry conferences, writing articles for publications, attending conferences and establishing relationships at C level within organisations.
• Adjusting sales messages in order to maintain a competitive edge, while demonstrating knowledge within the evolving market.

Requirements:
• Significant knowledge of the renewable energy market, including influencing key people within the energy sector
• Demonstrable knowledge of managing Profit & Loss accounts
• A Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience of multi-level relationship solution sales
• Experienced in working to and developing governance around solutions
• Team management experience
• High degree of commercial awareness
