This market-leading FMCG company is seeking an experienced Category Development Manager to join them in a new role.

Duties will include:

• Building Market share Maps by key market, customer & category.
• Devising growth strategies to aggressively take share through consolidation of competitive products or introduction of new products.
• Providing In Market intelligence of competitor activity from a product and Go to Market perspective.
• Influencing COE roadmaps based on category expertise and voice of the customer.
• Providing feedback on strategy execution and any necessary changes to the plan.
• Ensuring delivery of category strategy through correct GTM execution using on line, POS or other marketing collateral.
• Prioritising promotional sku's and ranges.
• Ensuring that ROI is being correctly measured before and after activity.
• Agreeing target customers and geographies to focus and fuel growth.
• Making regular contact with customers to present category strategies and vision.
• Be perceived as the category expert in the eyes of the customer.
• Developing commercial bids for sign off with senior Management.
• Project managing specific ELT strategic growth initiatives.

Requirements:

• Preferably holds a Marketing degree or CIM qualification.
• Must be capable of operating at a pan European level with a successful track record of devising and implementing pan European strategies.
• A breadth of knowledge and be able to demonstrate practical experience of B2B marketing techniques, across the European continent.
• Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and passion to get tasks done, leading by example and be very results driven.
• An excellent communicator, to management, peers, co-workers and senior-level customer personnel.
• Must be able to think strategically about the category and devise clear plans that are easily understood and bought into.
• Owner of the category plans and key sales and margin metrics on a quarterly and annual. basis. Owner of commercial bids and successful implementation of new business when won.
