This requires someone with a 'hands on' approach, who will manage a small team to ensure continuous IT service across network, software and hardware and server infrastructure. However, in addition to this, you will report to the CEO on IT strategy for future development of the IT infrastructure, managing budget and still retaining opportunity for involvement in numerous projects across the business, helping drive the organisation forward.
You should have experience in an IT management role, be confident leading a small team and taking an analytical and methodical approach to your work. In this role, you will have 3 reports and will be expected to demonstrate a willingness to support and develop those under you.
Due to the nature of this business it would be considered particularly advantageous if you have experience gained within a healthcare setting, with an appreciation of information security. You will be supporting IT services across multiple sites in line with strict SLA's and as such there may be some travel to other sites required. (All sites are within 1 hours drive away)
In addition, to be successful in this role, you should demonstrate good commercial acumen and a mixture of strategic decision making, reporting, as well as a hands-on management style. You should demonstrate strong knowledge of network hardware and architecture design available to market and be confident managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
The successful individual will be confident supporting a Windows environment and with solid experience of supporting a wide range of IT issues from 1st to 3rd line - in both physical and virtualised environments. You should also demonstrate knowledge of SQL Server and knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM would be considered advantageous, as would experience of the SSRS reporting tool.
In addition you should have proven experience delivering IT Projects on time and within budget, ideally with Prince2 qualification or at the very least understanding of its principles.
