Rapidly expanding, innovative Digital Marketing Communications company supplying SMEs seeks an experienced, energetic and strategic Sales and Marketing Director (Board position) to drive the company to the next stage.

This company has built itself a strong position with good propositions and excellent testimonials and needs an experienced business development director who can design and deliver a challenging strategic sales and marketing plan aimed at SMEs.

This will require a strong team leader and a good communicator who can bring the whole team along with them to build the right sales profile and mix and increase customer loyalty. Experience selling directly to large numbers of SMEs will be essential.

The skills and experience required for this position as Sales and Marketing Director are:

• Senior Sales and Marketing experience ideally gained in the Digital Communications sector (SMEs) or Mobile Phones selling to SMEs with strong results and clear understanding of selling to a very large SME sector. Clear understanding of the digital world would be a distinct advantage.
• Significant experience selling to SMEs essential
• Demonstrable experience running , managing , remunerating, incentivising and motivating large sales teams
• Demonstrable sales record against targets in SME sector
• Strong demonstrable marketing experience dovetailed to create opportunities for the sales team and to increase the visibility and awareness of the business within its sector
• Experience in designing and implementing Sales and Marketing plans
• Experience in creating, developing and launching new products successfully in SME sector.
• Highly disciplined and target driven with total responsibility for sales and profit targets.
• Results achieved in prioritising SME accounts and developing and executing client retention strategy around renewals in SMEs.
• Flexible and innovative as Sales and Marketing Director
• Ability to assess and champion new sales channels into areas like telesales (outbound), affiliate marketing, partnering etc
• Excellent communicator and presenter - with gravitas.
• Full UK driving licence
• Location: Within and hour’s commute of the West Midlands
