The office environment at this company is extremely hectic and can often approach that of a city dealing room. Our major business strength is our flexibility and responsiveness to customer requirements. The turn around time on our transactions is critical, so the role of Logistics Administrator is constantly a pressured one. The logistics function serves to administer the deal done by the trader.
Logistics staff are responsible for the administration, customer service and transportation of each deal The logistics side of the job involves taking the deal paperwork and ensuring that the deal happens as planned and laid down in the contract. This will involve customer liaison, ordering of transport, and possible engineering and certainly giving instructions to the warehouse to allocate and prepare the correct equipment Deal administration essentially refers to organising transport, payment/invoicing issues, and ensuring that a transaction follows the detail and deadlines of the contract Handling the administration of a deal in its entirety to enable the trader to get on with the next deal. This involves close communication with the customer/supplier The Logistics Administrator is responsible for meeting the delivery dates of the deal and for constantly improving Tinglobal’s delivery performance as well as drawing the best possible response out of our suppliers Dealing with Returns, and short shipments, (but not renegotiating a deal that has changed from the deal paperwork), ensuring the deal runs to the stated timeframe, and managing the deal through the company's application system Internal communication with the trader, the accounts department and the warehouse is therefore crucial to perform the duties of the Logistics Administrator
A good standard of general education, particularly with regard to written and spoken English, and numeracy The person who takes on this role must not only cope with but positively thrive under pressure. Organizational ability, the capacity to prioritize on your feet and the ability to "get the job done" are key A basic understanding of business and commerce and the ability to problem solve. The successful candidate will be a customer facing individual, able to explain the company position calmly should a supplier let us down The ability and responsibility to perform the role unsupervised, reporting back to your line manager at regular intervals (daily) or if a particular problem develops. Equally, the ability to work as part of the team. Qualifications required:
England - You must have at least 5 G.C.S.E Grades (C and above) or equivalent, Maths and English is a must.

England - Business Level 3 Apprenticeship - | City & Guilds Cartificate/Diploma in Business & Administration | Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) | One optional day from the QA Professional Development catalogue | Functional Skills Level 2
37.5 hours (Monday – Friday, 9 – 5:30)
