A global boutique Investment bank based in Central London is looking to hire a Systems & Automation Lead Engineer to be responsible for the management and development of the 3rd line systems/production support team as well as being the SME in relation to Scripting (Python, Perl, Bash and/or Ruby).

This is an extremely multidimensional role (75/ technical hands on, 25% team management); the engineer will be responsible for on going Linux systems and applications support, as well as being a lead architect in determining OS / App integration with the banks group systems. The Engineer will also be heavily involved in the enhancement and maintenance of the in-house platform and AWS environment.

Key tech: Linux Systems and Operations (RedHat), Open source tech & tools, AWS/Cloud, Python/Ruby/Perl/Bash, LAMP, strong grasp of automation tools (puppet, kickstart etc) and automating builds/configuration, coaching, banking technology

Secondary: Any additional development knowledge, e.g. Java, C++, Oracle, Scaling/Capacity, High Availability, frequent code testing and deployment
