An opportunity has arisen within a Global Media business for a technically minded candidate who enjoys working with the business on an International basis.
This position is an essential role within the Business Analysis department of the company, ensuring that accurate and timely reporting of financial information to the shareholders who include the Board, Parent Company and senior management across all international territories.
This will be a busy and interesting role and requires an excellent communicator due to the your interaction around the world.
Coordination and management of the reporting process for the Board and Parent company, to include actuals, forecast and budget, ensuring quality and accuracy;
Provide technical support to your international trading partners, ensuring all reports satisfy statutory requirements (IFRS & UK GAAP);
Manage the compliance program, ensuring global adherences to the Group Policies and Procedures;
Reconciliation of International entities statutory financial statements to consolidation of reported results;
Manage the quarterly intercompany reconciliation process;
Review and consolidate month end balance sheet and group results;
Assist in the management of the internal information management system.
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent);
Sound working knowledge of UK GAAP, IAS & IFRS;
Experienced technical background, ideally gained within a media or related environment;
Strong systems experience, SAP would be an advantage;
Advanced Excel skills;
Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to easily influence others and build excellent working relationships;
Excellent team player with the ability to meet and exceed tight deadlines and manage multiple stakeholders.
