C++ Lead Developer

6 Month Contract - £600 per day

Harrington Starr is working with a Brokerage Firm based in the city of London to help find a Lead C++ Developer to work on a Greenfield project working with the pre and post life of the trading risk with use of VaR (Value at Risk). The Lead C++ Developer will be part of a small team working with a lot of Multithreaded Development on Unix and Linux Operating Systems.

The Lead C++ Developer will be in charge of the implementation and enhancement of the full project life cycle. This role will have heavy focus on settlement applications using real time trade capture and risk management. This is a back office role that will require experience with STL Boost, Agile, and OOP. Experience working with commodities is a plus. This role requires the candidate to possess strong technical skills as it is very complex and challenging.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience with Multithreading development
  • Extensive and proven track record in C++ Programming
  • Experience in STL Boost
  • Experience using Unix and Linux
  • Extensive experience with VaR
  • Strong knowledge with SWAPS, Futures, and Options
  • Strong Knowledge of Risk Management
