In an effort to support local communities and assist them on the road to self sustainability, Kaya Responsible Travel are recruiting volunteers to work in local centres and schools in Latin America, Africa and Asia who can bring value and improve care as well as provide training and tips to local staff looking to improve their approach to care.
The projects you can get involved in are:
Work with victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam
Equine Therapy for Disabled Children in Cape Town
Volunteering with disabled children in Costa Rica
Volunteer at a School for Deaf Children in Santa Cruz
Integrated Therapy for Children with Disabilities and Learning Difficulties in Ecuador
Working on these projects is a great way for those in the special education profession to expand their experience, whilst exploring a new country and a new culture. Volunteers with experience or study background in teaching or working with people with special needs are strongly preferred for these projects. CRB checks are also required as you will be working with children.
Project fees apply, but include accommodation, food, airport transfers and training and support in most cases.
