For this role you should have excellent customer service and communication skills and be confident managing your own workload, you should demonstrate good incident management and be able to identify and prioritise service issues that could impact the operation of the business.
The applications and software you support will include bespoke and unusual IT installations. You will work closely with the pre-sales team to assist with these installations and create documentation to provide follow up support, to the end users.
Internal to the business you will provide technical support to employees, you will manage each issue to resolution, providing an effective IT Support service, responding to help requests via email and telephone. You will also be expected to manage the company networks and servers, with break/fix server experience considered particularly advantageous.
This is a hands-on role with minimal budgetary responsibility and man-management, but you will be expected to advise on IT Strategy for the business.
The successful candidate must have solid IT Support experience, supporting a Windows environment and be confident troubleshooting and supporting across a range of hardware, software, application and networking issues in a stand alone capacity. You should demonstrate excellent communication skills and a customer centric approach to your work, with exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills.
The ideal candidate will be capable of learning new technologies quickly, be technically minded and be able to work to effectively prioritise a sometimes challenging workload. They will ideally have either gained experience in a senior support role, looking to take the next step into management, or already hold a similar post.
Although the majority of the support you offer will be remotely, you will be expected at times to travel to client sites. As such, you should have a full UK driving license and be willing to undertake travel.
In return for your hard work and commitment to this role they are offering a salary of up to £40,000 plus benefits, including 25 days holiday.
