Articulate financial reporting pre-requisites to various project team members and developers to ensure that new applications or data repositories permit expedient financial reporting in accordance with UK and International GAAP requirements and Solvency II.
Ensure updates on project development are communicated to senior Group finance staff in a timely and clear manner, with advice and consultation being sought where appropriate.
Assist with systems and user acceptance testing and testing design to ensure implementation occurs following a robust validation process.
As part of 3, reconcile between data sets and investigate, understand and suggest recommendations for resolving differences.
Provide end-user documentation to assist finance staff use of developed systems.
Explain development work to external and internal auditors, including compilation of relevant documentation.
Investigate and communicate financial implications of changes in data presentation and interpretation.
Assist development team with the design, testing and roll-out of financial reports from new systems.
Recommend robust controls concerning new system and data use.
Work with the Group's Actuarial team to validate implications of changes to core data as part of the Group's reserving process, including an assessment of the net financial impact.
Manage and develop relationships with key stakeholders within the various project groups.
