Working within the Infrastructure test team, the Non-Functional Test Lead is responsible for analysing the requirement specifications, uploading these into HP Quality Centre, Test Script creation and mapping to requirements in HP Quality Centre, defect management and preparing / issuing daily status reports during test execution.
The Non-Functional test lead will apply their understanding of key non-functional testing areas to progress test execution schedule in line with the interpreted test requirements. Core non-functional test areas include hardware and network resilience, backup and recovery, service management monitoring, disaster recovery. The Non-Functional test lead will have an appreciation of the system and integration testing and how this fits in with the Infrastructure testing to be undertaken on a given environment.
The Non-Functional test lead will also be required to contribute towards required test documentation, namely test plans, test specifications, test execution schedules and test reports, while reporting to the Test Manager.
This role requires occasional out of hours and weekend working.
Work independently to provide test support activities across the entire change delivery lifecycle for infrastructure changes. Carry out testing following existing methodology.
Define test scripts/test cases in HP Quality Centre and create test execution summary and progress graphs (HP Quality Centre reporting). Execute test cases as defined in the test plan for each build/version release on specified platforms and browsers.
Analyse and interpret the requirement specification (testing requirements).
Completion of industry best practise operational acceptance testing principles.
Record, report, analyse and manage defects found during testing.
Experience of supporting customers during later phases of testing (i.e. CAT, UAT etc.)
Vendor Interface and experience of liaising with 3rd parties
