The main focus of the role will be to manage a portfolio of project work across the IT department, that will focus on the phased implementation of a new ERP system to the business. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved from the beginning stages of a major project, also with the potential for the contract to be extended for a further 12 months.
You will offer your expertise across the whole lifecycle, liaising with the relevant management assuring that the project is defined by and aligned with the goals of the business. Assessing the affordability, measuring this against benefit to the business and helping to draft and submit budget proposals. You will manage the budget of such projects and be ready to report on all aspects of the lifecycle to senior management when necessary, also offering reliable and achievable risk analysis and troubleshooting throughout.
In addition, you will liaise with relevant stakeholders to assess and define project business requirements, agree timescales and ensure everyone is clear on the key milestones.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate should have experience of Project Management and a user of Prince2 or Agile methodologies.
You will have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows, and will ideally have experience implementing ERP systems - experience implementing MS Dynamics or SAP would be considered particularly advantageous, but not essential. The same is said of supporting and managing EPOS or other retail solutions.
