IT Support Engineer (1st/2nd line) - City, London

A successful international financial services company based in the City, is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a long-term career within the financial services sector.

Working within the wider IT team you will be provide 1st line support to all hardware, software and network issues for the business and ensure that systems remain available at all times.

To be suitable for this IT Support Engineer / Desktop Support Engineer role you will ideally have gained commercial experience within an IT support capacity with exposure to the following technologies:
- Windows Desktop Operating Systems; Windows XP/7
- Anti-virus software
- Virtual server monitoring software
- Active directory and email administration
- Daily backup logs
- Support for laptops, printers and desktop hardware
- MS Office

As this role is working in a highly successful financial services environment you MUST possess exceptional communication skills with the ability to build successful working relationships.

Please note that this role will involve 8 hour shifts between the hours of 7am-7pm - candidates must be able to work all potential shifts.

The salary on offer for this IT Support Engineer role is up to £21,000 basic depending on experience, plus benefits. Offices are based in the City of London with excellent transport links from Cannon Street and Bank stations.
