A large company based in the Enfield area is looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their Finance team.
The Credit Controller will be responsible for a designated group of customers within the groups accounts receivable portfolio. The principal responsibilities are as follows:
*Debtor management: reviewing the client credit management policies, ensuring appropriate credit limits are set & resolve any payment issues. Ensure customer orders are released once authorised & credit insurance conditions are compliant.
*Ensure customers pay in line with set terms.
*Propose methods to maximise efficiency & cost savings within the team.
*Develop contacts internally within the business (i.e. accounts payable, purchasing, distribution, & warehouse) and with external clients to improve efficiencies and accounts receivable relations.
*Assist with ad hoc monthly reporting & provide monthly reconciliations.
*Provide analysis of customer issues & resolution plans regarding barriers to payment.
*Set up meetings with key customers to negotiate debt settlement & future payment plans.
To be suitable for this position you will have extensive experience in a Credit Controller role within a medium to large business. Be commercially savvy, able to drive change through process development and demonstrate exceptional negotiation skills. Experience dealing with major UK retailers and a distribution industry background is highly advantageous.
The Credit Controller will primarily be based in the main office in Enfield.
