The Organisation:
The Green Recruitment Company is working with a leading developer of offshore wind who are looking for a Package Manager to take responsibility for managing all technical aspects of offshore works across the preconstruction stage by providing leadership and technical support in the permitting, the contracting and preconstruction phases.


Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the optimal marine logistics engineering and construction management to ensure achievement of safety, quality, schedule and budget targets, whilst complying with consenting requirements and environmental mitigation
• Responsible for preparing, expanding and providing all the specifications and technical documentation to the Technical Manager and Commercial Manager in order to engage with contractors and suppliers to guarantee the correct bidding, construction and operation
• Ensuring that the determining factors established by the Permitting and Environmental and other departments are met
• Maintain an effective and systematic control of marine and onshore logistics works, ensuring control of the budget, deadline and quality aspect, as well as assessment of contractors / subcontractors involved in the project.
• Actively engage with supply chain and give technical support to procurement department, both in the development and contracting process, in order to guarantee the correct procurement strategy
• Promote and work with the Project Management, Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures and actively manage the safety and personnel welfare throughout the lifecycle of the project.


Required Skills:
• Degree in Engineering (M.Sc.), Ideally Chartered Engineer
• At least three years relevant work experience in the offshore wind industry with a proven track record in marine works and onshore logistics management for offshore wind projects
• Ability to interact with suppliers, manage large contractors
• Ability to communicate across all levels of an international organization
• Strong leadership and initiative skills
• Good understanding of the UK H&S legislation applicable to the offshore wind industry
• Experience in a supply chain environment will be considered a plus (customer/buyer)
