The Organisation:

The Green Recruitment Company are working with a leading Green Energy Supplier who are currently looking for a Landscape Architect to join the Development Team and assist in relation to renewable energy scheme delivery across the whole lifecycle of various projects.

The Role:

• To undertake and produce LVIAs for environmental impact assessments (EIA) and environmental reports;
• Undertaking other aspects of ES/EIAs and environmental reports as required;
• Providing LVIA input into new site selection, and the design and layout of our renewable energy projects;
• To support planning appeals through the production of proof of evidence reports, and liaison with external legal teams;
• Monitoring and checking landscape works on-site (landscaping) in order to discharge planning conditions.
• Preparing and advising on mitigation measures where necessary.
• Making site visits throughout the UK for landscape and visual surveys including to quality assure photomontages and other visualisations;
• Carrying out pre-application consultations with local authorities and statutory consultees including in relation to photomontage viewpoint selection ; and
• Liaising with non-statutory consultees, other consultants and relevant professionals regarding our various renewable energy projects.

Person Specification:

• Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or working towards;
• Preferably five years’ experience (post Part IV / Pathway) in landscape planning and design;
• Experience of renewable energy projects, preferably wind;
• Excellent report writing and research skills;
• Proven experience of LVIA and landscape report writing;
• Some public inquiry / landscape witness experience desirable;
• Ability to work without supervision and to prioritise workload;
• Experience of working with local authorities, statutory consultees, external consultants and other professionals;
• Full driving license.
