A successful and growing import/wholesale business based in the Clapham area (Clapham North) are currently looking for an IT Technician / Desktop Support Engineer to join their team. You will be working alongside the IT Manager to provide user support to approx. 100 users, with responsibility for day-to-day administration, networking and support of their IT systems - this will be a very hands on and varied role. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a wide exposure to a range of technologies and really develop your skills, including gaining exposure to and developing programming skills, SQL reporting skills, etc.
To be suitable you will have experience of the following:
- Windows operating systems (Windows 7/8, Windows Server 2008/2008 R2/2012/2012 R2)
- Microsoft Office Suite 2010/2013
- Email account management (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange administration)
- Anti-virus systems (Sophos/McAfee/Symantec)
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HDCP)
- Building and deploying desktops/laptops to end users
Any experience of SQL Server reporting, or programming languages would be an advantage but are not essential. Candidate must show enthusiasm to up-skill and develop in these areas - training will be provided.
This is a permanent opportunity offering a salary to £22-28,000 basic plus a company bonus, up to 5% personal bonus, 22 days holidays (increasing with length of service) and discounted products. Offices are based in Clapham, close to Clapham North station.
