A highly successful organisation specialising in software development and data management are looking for an experienced Service Delivery Manager/Product Manager to join them. This is a pivotal role within the business to ensure the products, software and services delivered to these brand name clients are done so as effectively as possible; continually making improvements by collaborating with the clients directly as well as the in house development team.
This organisation are the market leader within their industry and deliver a range of web and cloud based software applications to their clients. This role will encompass elements of service management as well as the test and deployment of new software releases, requirements collation and management and incident resolution. Whilst this is not a technical role, you will be acting as a coordinator to facilitate the development of new software functionality and assisting with the resolution of any technical issues that may arise; you will liaise with the relevant infrastructure or technical teams to ensure the issue is resolved as quickly and effectively as possible. Providing support for each client will only be a small part of this varied position. You will also be working to gather requirements from the client; working with them to establish possible new developments that can be made to the applications and translating these to the development teams. In addition, you will manage and conduct testing of the new functionality added and prepare clients for new releases. You will also be required to produce documentation for all additional developments and processes.
To be suitable for this Service Delivery Manager position you will ideally have worked in a service management capacity previously; delivering products or services to clients. Whilst you do not need to be technical, you will need to have an analytical approach with strong troubleshooting skills. You must be able to communicate with a range of stakeholders including technical teams and you will need to have an appreciation for software and how it can be used. The salary on offer for this Service Delivery Manager/Product Manager role is £40,000-£55,000, depending on experience.
