HR Manager - HR Generalist / Sole in HR

HR Manager - The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a thriving and growing retail and distribution business to assist them in their search for a new HR Manager. The role will suit a generalist with broad HR experience and will carry responsibility for all aspects of HR within the organization.

The successful candidate will be an experienced HR Generalist, accustomed to dealing with all aspects of HR, from Employee Relations, to Rewards and Compensations and including administration and all formal proceedings. A CIPD accreditation would be welcomed, but experience will be given greater weight in assessing a candidate's suitability. Experience of dealing with an evenly balanced blue collar and white collar workforce across 3 or 4 sites would be of particular value.

As HR Manager, you will need to be able to define HR policy in accordance with the company's overall business goals and you should be happy addressing issues with labour force motivation and employee relations within a manufacturing or warehouse type environment. You will also be comfortable designing and implementing staff appraisals and recruitment policy and performance management plans. Interaction with the Finance Director, the Managing Director and other Board members will be part and parcel of this role.
