The official job title is `Delivery analyst` but would suit someone who has varying skills around projects and someone who is looking to work their way up.
The main purpose of the role is to get given the outlines of a project, then go and figure out what`s needed to make it work. You must consider certain points like workload needed, cost and general feasibility. You will then have to report back to senior managers your results on what you`ve found and how they should move forward with the project.
Main overall duties will include -
Occasional Project Management of smaller Retail initiatives and projects
Identify and help embed best practise in Retail Business Systems
Own the delivery of the innovation program for Retail Business Systems across multi sites
Be a proactive member of the Retail Business Systems senior team: including helping with delivery of identified team priority initiatives including team engagement actions and improvement initiatives
Identify, design and maintain appropriate processes to implement change
Use of appropriate internal methodologies for delivery of change
Assist in the production of clear, well structured reports and business cases
Identify and assist in presentations to Retail and third parties
Partake in Business and Operational analysis activities in support RBS initiatives and projects
Technical skills desired-
knowledge and practical experience of analysis and project management
sound knowledge of change methodologies
sound MS Office skills including Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Visio
knowledge / experience of a planning tool such as Microsoft Project would be useful
be web and systems literate, with a natural aptitude and desire to learn about new applications
knowledge of Insurance products and markets would be useful
Although it is technically a `junior` role, they need someone with strong business analysis experience, and would consider a BA if the candidate was happy with the duties. They also need someone who is confident presenting their findings to senior members of staff and you need to be a really good communicator, as you`ll spend a majority of your time building a good rapport and speaking to different teams and analysing what they`ve told you.
