The Organisation:
The Green Recruitment Company are working with an internationally recognised organistion within the offshore sector who are looking for an offshore structural engineering specialist to manage risk of their engineering work across a range of sectors.

Responsibilities:
• Assess the ability of duty holders to manage structural integrity and verify their work
• Provide expert advice on structural integrity to industry, stakeholders, and colleagues
• Carry out audits and inspections with respect to structural integrity issues
• Assess safety cases and providing recommendations for future inspection topics
• Investigate accidents, incidents and complaints alone or as part of a team
• Be assigned topics to manage strategically
• Identify, research, and address emerging generic issues in collaboration with industry
• Network to facilitate the above
• Identify the need for and manage external consultants

Required Skills:
• Chartered structural engineer and/or postgraduate qualified engineer in relevant discipline
• Application of your discipline skill to more than one type of offshore installation
• Experience of design, construction, and integrity management
• Carried out a technical managerial role, interfacing with other disciplines
• Familiarity with application of current offshore standards
• Experience of the assessment of integrity, accident response, ship impact, extreme weather, and foundation behaviour
• Familiarity with risk assessment and risk management tools
• Ability to challenge, think strategically, identify underlying core issues, and engage at different levels
• Ability to make key decisions and influence others to bring improvements
• Excellent communication skills both written and orally
• Sound analytical skills to identify underlying gaps and deficiencies related to risk management
• Good organisational and planning skills to manage your workload
