A growing provider of trading systems technology is looking to employ a Network Engineer (CCNP, CCNA, Linux, OSPF, BGP, Multicast, WAN, VPLS, 1st/2nd line Support) to join their growing support team in the heart of London.

This Network Engineer (CCNP, CCNA, Linux, OSPF, BGP, Multicast, WAN, VPLS, 1st/2nd line Support) will be required to provide high level technical and troubleshooting support for the company's hosted platform to their continually increasing customer base. You will work closely with support and engineering staff. This will involve:

  • Prompt response to network support requests and enquiries from clients
  • Responding to any queries related to dedicated line network, VPN and exchange connectivity
  • The deployment, monitoring and maintenance of globally distributed datacentre infrastructure
  • Documenting and tracking case histories, issues and actionable steps taken
  • Work directly with new customers and exchanges in order to coordinate design, deployment and implementation of their networks and infrastructure

To be considered for the role of Network Engineer (CCNP, CCNA, Linux, OSPF, BGP, Multicast, WAN, VPLS, 1st/2nd line Support) applicants must have:

  • Networking certification to at least CCNA level, preferably CCNP
  • Experience in a Linux environment, especially around installation and administration
  • Ability to support hardware platforms and technologies with regards to setup, maintenance and configuration
  • Experience of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
  • Any previous experience troubleshooting electronic trading network systems will be beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills
  • An ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to build rapport
