The role
We are working alongside a leading, international energy company with a multi-billion pound turnover. Our client is currently active in Germany, UK, Italy and Russia and they operate along three key business units - on-site generation, energy efficiency, and virtual power plants. They are currently seeking a home based, Key Account Manager for their rapidly growing Energy Efficiency Unit located near Berlin

Candidate Responsibilities
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for the following:
• Develop accounts from new customer acquisition status to established long term customers
• Identifying and access all potential revenue channels for our client’s Energy Efficiency products and services
• Deliver customer revenues and profit margins in-line with or exceeding business targets
• Ensuring customer security and longevity through strong stakeholder relationships
• Sound understanding of customer procurement and investment criteria
• Developing and leveraging strategic relationships with Energy Efficiency partners to promote capabilities and provide scalability to the Energy Efficiency business
• Interacting with colleagues from other units within our client as well as intensively within our client’s German team to sell integrated solutions
• Training sales forces on Energy Efficiency products
• Reporting to Head of Sales Energy Efficiency in Germany

Candidate Profile
The Key Account Manager will have the following knowledge and experience:
• Relevant University degree or equivalent or outstanding experience (e.g. engineering in building services, etc.)
• Business track record in energy efficiency industry in Germany
• Demonstrate capability to negotiate with B2B customers energy efficiency contracts (e.g. contracting for guaranteed energy savings)
• Superb communication skills with capability to motivate and convince others
• Knowledge of Building Energy Management Systems (BMS) ideally with technical understanding of Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Cooling systems in buildings
• Ability to work in a cooperative way with colleagues from other unit
• Ambitious, target orientated and strong will to further develop skill set
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Willingness to travel
