If anyone knows how to look good in a bikini, it’s Emily Ratajkowski.

The London-born model is no stranger to a swimwear selfie so it was only a matter of time until she capitalised on her global following to launch her own highly-Instagrammable brand.

Inamorata features an eclectic mix of retro-inspired bikinis and belted one-pieces, as modelled by Ratajkowski, naturally.

Prices for the US-produced line range from $75 (£56) to $160 (£121).

Anyone familiar with Ratajkowski’s Instagram feed will know that the 26-year-old has a penchant for an itsy bitsy aesthetic – so it makes sense that Inamorata is not a brand for the faint-hearted, or the overly body conscious.

So far, there are six options available to purchase on the website and it’s pretty much all waist-high-cuts, teeny weeny thong bottoms and barely-there triangle tops that leave very little to the imagination.

The collection is a masterclass in sartorial minimalism, to say (or wear) the least.

Obviously, this is great if you look like Ratajkowski, whose figure is practically a thing of Greek mythology.

But the debate remains as to whether the model-turned-actress’ designs will be equally as flattering on the rest of us.

A self-described “beach baby”, Ratajkowski told American Vogue she grew up wearing swimwear almost every day in San Diego.

“When I was 16, sometimes I would literally wake up, not put on any clothes, and I’d put on a bathing suit and get coffees and burritos for the day,” she said.

Inspired by vintage issues of Sports Illustrated and Helmut Newton photographs, Ratajkowski’s collection is a medley of reworked 70’s prints enriched by Instagram-friendly silhouettes.

While the model has collaborated with clothing labels in the past, most recently she designed a handbag for The Kooples, Inamorata is Ratajkowski’s first solo design venture.

“It is self-funded. I have basically a consultant and an assistant and then it’s all me.

"It’s been really, really fun,” she told American Vogue.
