Justin Bieber challenges Tom Cruise to UFC fight, Conor McGregor offers to host

An MMA fight between pop star Justin Bieber and Top Gun star Tom Cruise may actually be happening, according to new reports.

This comes after Bieber backtracked from his original fight invitation last week, when he challenged Cruise to a “fight in the octagon”.

According to TMZ, the “What Do You Mean?” star’s manager Scooter Braun has since confirmed that the singer is game, and the onus is now on Cruise to make his move.

Dana White – president of US martial arts company UFC – was apparently involved in talks with Bieber’s management, and has stated that the star is “100%” up for stepping into the octagon to fight.

He has also called the possible event “the easiest fight to promote in the history of my career.”

In his original tweet challenging Cruise to the fight, Bieber suggested that the actor would be “scared” if he didn’t take the fight and would “never live it down”. The challenge has since sparked a frenzy on social media.

When questioned by TMZ last week, Bieber quickly clarified his remarks. “Man... I was just playing, it was just a random tweet, I’m pretty sure Tom would probably whoop my ass in a fight,” he said.

“I’d have to get super in shape, I’m really skinny right now. I think he’d probably be out of my weight class. He’s got that dad strength.”
