FIFA 20 game-play reveal

EA Sports have revealed the 55 payers that have been nominated for the FIFA 20 Team of the Year, with more Premier League players included than any other league in the world.

Thanks to English clubs making up this year’s two European finals after Liverpool and Tottenham contested the Champions League final and Chelsea and Arsenal competing in the Europa League final, 23 players from the Premier League feature on the list.

In comparison, there are just 10 players included from La Liga, which demonstrates how the balance in power has swung from Spain to England in more ways than one.

Six Bundesliga players make the cut, with a further seven from Italy’s Serie A and five from France’s Ligue 1.

The final allocation of players hail from the Eredivisie, with all four players belonging to Champions League semi-finalists Ajax, who couldn’t live up to last season’s performance as they were knocked out of the competition this week.

Users can vote online for their Team of the Year from Thursday 12 December until Friday 20 December, and once the votes are counted up the official FIFA 20 Team of the Year will be revealed in early January, along with the sought-after TOTY Player Items that can be found in FUT packs once the side is announced.

Vote on the EA website here for your team, and see the entire 55-man shortlist in the gallery above.
