Tweetdeck is down with users across North America and Europe reporting problems accessing the site.

Hundreds of people from Norway to New York and beyond said they were experiencing an outage.

TweetDeck, which is owned by Twitter, is a social media dashboard application that allows users to manage their accounts.

The firm said: "We are aware that some people are having issues with loading TweetDeck. Our team is working to resolve the issue."

Monitoring site Outage Report showed more than 300 people had problems with the site.

The main Twitter site was still up and running, however.

One wrote: "#Tweetdeck is completely broken and I'm lost."

Another said: "Tweetdeck down for anyone else? Sending this from the dotcom like it's 2009."
