The Grand National 2019 in numbers

The big day is almost here with the runners for the 2019 Grand National all confirmed.

Tiger Roll is looking to secure a historic win and go back-to-back after triumphing last year with Davy Russell aboard.

Trainer Gordon Elliott, who claimed the Silver Birch in 2007 as well, has a record 13 contenders in the top 40.

Should Tiger Roll pull off the win, it will be the first horse to repeat since Red Rum in 1974.

It can be tricky to pick a winner though, which means our Grand National generator courtesy of BetVictor will be perfect for you to find out which horse you should be backing based on your personality.

And Elliott is pleased with Tiger Roll and his other contenders’ preparation entering the race.

“I couldn’t be happier with them and I’m looking forward to running them all and hopefully we’ll get a bit of luck," said Elliott.

“They are in good order, and obviously our main chance is with Tiger Roll again.

“I don’t know if he can do it again – everybody that has ever watched the Grand National knows that you need a lot of luck in the race – but I do know I couldn’t be happier with the horse since (his win in the Glenfarclas Chase at) Cheltenham.”
